The privately run \"Hotel Landhaus Schlachtensee\" in the centre of Berlin is located in the Berlin district of Schlachtensee, which is part of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. This area is characterised by its idyllic location and its proximity to the eponymous Schlachtensee, a popular local recreation area.<\/p>

It is the southernmost of the large Grunewald chain of lakes.<\/p>

There is a hiking trail on its shores that leads 5.5 kilometres around the lake and invites you to go hiking, walking or jogging. In the warmer months, it is a popular place for Berliners and Berlin tourists to cool off in the summer temperatures.
